I love my daughter

I love my daugther. She's a busy eleven year old who sometimes seems wise beyond her years and other times seems like a six year old boy.  Today, she is the former.  I have a cold. Now, colds are hardly worth fussing about but that's just how you feel when you have one. So I have done none of the many things I hoped to accomplish today. Well, maybe one or two I managed. One of those very important things was the laundry.  See, I work full time and often have a million things to do once I get home - including job related work.  So laundry piles up til Sunday.  Today is that day.  On the list of things I had to do today were: buy food for the zoo (done), shovel the driveway (are you kidding?  I'm hoping it just thaws), clean the kitchen (maybe in the morning), shop for groceries (actually did that yesterday - yay me!), help Mugsy (one of my daughter's many pet names) clean her study/pet room (OK, she did that entirely on her own), and do the several piles of laundry.  I was seriously too sick to contemplate anything not required for essential survival.  The pets needed food.  Had to do that.  The rest seemed very unessential.  Not to Mugsy!  My lovely daughter just went ahead and cleaned that blasted pet room and did the laundry!  I managed to work up the energy to help with the folding but that was where it ended.  Sometimes, the little monkeys just pull it out of the hat.  I already feel better.
